<p>PURPOSE:To make the enlargement of the output performance of character pattern possible, by a method wherein the correspondence of the write start position of the character pattern dot by dot interpolation to the write boundary of image memory is taken in a dot matrix printer. CONSTITUTION:The interpolation dot of a coordinate point following the main and sub scanning directional dot interpolation addresses expressed by (x), (y) components from interpolation dot address generation means 31-49, is generated by an interpolation dot generation means, and this information is stored in a shift resister 60 by a bit length corresponding to the write width of image memory in which the character pattern processed by dot interpolation is developed. Further, an off-set value in a bit range corresponding to the write width of image memory prior to the write of interpolation dot of each main scanning is selectively generated by a means 29 and written in the resister 60. The correspondence of the write start position to the image memory write boundary is taken. Thus, the treating of image data of each deformed character becomes easy.</p> |
