PURPOSE:To bring quickly and easily the cut ends of optical fibers to a prescribed space by controlling the moving speed of the optical fibers according to the position of the cut ends. CONSTITUTION:This invention relates to a welding device for optical fibers which can control the moving speed of the optical fibers. A signal of a low level from a position detecting means 32 is inputted to the terminal T of D-FF30 and a transistor 33 is cut off until the cut ends 15a1, 15b1 of the optical fibers 15a, 15b arrive at a predetermined position. A motor 39 is thereupon run according to the input voltage of an amplifier 36 and when the ends 15a1, 15b1 arrive at the prescribed position, a high level signal is inputted from the means 32 to the terminal T of D-FF30. The TR33 is then conducted, by which the driving voltage of the motor 39 is decreased and the rotating speed is decreased. The cut ends are thus quickly and easily brought to the prescribed space and therefore the working efficiency is improved. |
