PURPOSE:To simplify the construction by permitting the performing of the selective switching between the selective action of a type support element and the shifting operation of the carriage and the hammer operation with one driving source such as solenoid. CONSTITUTION:A selection member 32 is set to the selective action switching position with the inputting of a printing signal to block the movement of the carriage 5 and with the rotation of a motor by a specified value, a specified type 7a is made to face a platen 2 through a timing belt 12, with the excitation of a solenoid 21, a hammer 17 is operated to perform a printing and then, returned with a spring 20. On the other hand, as an armature 22 is excited to turn, the member 32 is released from the engagement with a link piece 36 to turn clockwise and set to the shifting operation switching position to block the rotation of a type support element 7. Then, when the solenoid 21 is demagnetized with the inputting of a printing signal, the armature 22 is returned with a spring 23, the selection member 32 turns counterclockwise to be set to the selective action switching position and with the excitation of the solenoid 21, a printing is performed. |
