PURPOSE:To enable a molding locking piece to be firmly secured to a molding upon attachment and, as well to enable the locking piece to absorb dimensional errors irrespective of the shape of a molding, by forming, in the lower surface of a base plate, a flexible locking part adapted to be fitted into and secured to an attaching plate. CONSTITUTION:A molding locking piece 10 has engaging parts 12 which stand up at both side thereof, and projecting plates 13 which rise at the center thereof. Further, a head part 15 is formed at the axial center of a base plate 11 so that it is coupled to a neck part, and flexible locking parts 17 adapted to be fitted and secured in a through hole in an attaching plate are provided below the lower surface of the base plate 11 at the both side surfaces of fitting legs 19 which confront each other through a through- hole 18. Further, they are all integrally incorporated together with the use of synthetic resin material. At first the head part 15 is inserted into the opening 21 of a vehicle molding 20 after the lengthwise direction of the head part 15 is aligned with the opening 21. Then, after the molding 15 is rotated by an angle of 90 deg., the head part 15 abuts against the inner wall surface of the molding 20 while the opening 21 is supported by a supporting surface, and therefore, the molding 20 is attached to the engaging sections 12, successively overriding the projecting plates 13. |
