The invention relates to a wheelchair which can be constructed with different sizes from elements with standardised dimensions, so that the chair is suitable for users of various heights. It comprises a main frame 20 consisting of two longitudinal parts connected together by a hinged intermediate structure allowing these two parts to be pulled together for the chair to take a collapsed state allowing its storage and transport. The strong construction and the possibility of adjusting the positions of the wheels of the chair allow the latter normal use and use for sports or athletic activities.
