PURPOSE:To improve the magnetic flux efficiency and to improve the response of a linear pulse motor by forming the surface of a platelike pole member as a pole surface and displacing a scale by the mutual action of the magnetic flux of a permanent magnet and the magnetic fluxes generated by exciting an exciting coil. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of platelike pole members 73-76 are polarized as pole surfaces, which are concentrically disposed, and a permanent magnet 81 is contacted with a pair of poles. The members 73-76 are excited by exciting coils 79, 80. The relative positions of the teeth 73c-76c of the members 73-76 and the teeth 72a of a scale 72 are displaced by 1/4 pitch each time on the basis of the mutual action of the magnetic flux of a permanent magnet 81 and the magnetic fluxes generated by exciting the coils 79, 80. |
