PURPOSE:To facilitate movement and installation of a titled device, by a method wherein a cylinder is vertically disposed to the interior of a device provided with a high pressure water nozzle and a curing agent nozzle, and the device is thrusted vertically by repeatedly hammering the device by means of a hammer piston. CONSTITUTION:A soft ground improving device A is provided at its forward end with a high pressure water nozzle 1 for excavation and a curing agent nozzle 2 for injecting a curing agent. A cylinder 10 is vertically disposed to the interior of the device A, and a piston 13 is vertically accelerated by means of a compressed air in the cylinder 10. The inner surfaces of upper and lower cylinder heads 11 and 12 of the cylinder 10 are repeatedly hammered by means of the piston 13 to vertically thrust the device A in a ground. This eliminates a strut for boring, stabilizes the device through reduction in its overall height, and enables facilitation of movement and installation even without a temporarily- formed subbase course. |
