PURPOSE:To eliminate the layer of upper and lower wire portions and to enhance the connecting strength by forming a stepped portion at the side end of an armature core of a commutator segment, and connecting the upper wire portion of an armature coil with the higher step and the lower wire portion with the lower step. CONSTITUTION:When the ends of armature coil 3 are fusion-bonded to the segment 5 of a commutator 4, a groove 5a is formed on the end of the segment 5 of an armature core 2 side to form a step on the surface 5b of the segment 5. The upper wire portion 3a of the armature coil is disposed on the higher step 5b, the lower wire portion 3b of the armature coil is disposed on the lower wire portion 5b, and they are respectively fusion-bonded by supersonic wave welding. In order to form the step, a projection may be formed instead of the groove 5a to form a step between the surfaces 5b of the segments. |
