PURPOSE:To decrease adjusting points with a smaller number of lenses and to branch light to plural optical fibers by the simple constitution consisting of two sets of optical fiber bundles, two pieces of convergent rod lenses, half mirror and two pieces of mirrors. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted from an input optical fiber 11 is reflected half by the half mirror 18 of a beam splitter 17 and is again made incident on the mirror 18 by a mirror 19 and is coupled to a fiber 12 spaced by a distance (d) from the optical axis of a lens 16, when the fiber 11 is spaced by the distance (d) from the opticalf axis of the lens 16. On the other hand, the light reflected by the mirror 19 and transmitted through the half mirror 18 is coupled through a lens 21 to a fiber 14. The light transmitted half by the mirror 18 via a lens 16 from the fiber 11 is split by the beam splitter 17 when the mirror 20 is slightly inclined. The transmitted light is coupled to a fiber 13 and the reflected light to a fiber 15, respectively.
