PURPOSE:To uniformly cool molds by a method in which cooling water stored in a cylinder is sent under pressures in a fixed amount into a cooling tube set around the molds by a piston and spread over the molds. CONSTITUTION:A piston 52 is slided from the rising position to the lowering by an oil-pressure-powered cylinder 70, and by the suctional action of the piston 52, cooling water is forcibly introduced into a cylinder 50 from a water supply tube 60 to store the cooling water in an amount corresponding to one shot in the cylinder 50. As soon as the forming cycle is moved to the cooling process, the piston 52 is slided upwards by the cylinder 70, the cooling water in the cylinder 50 is drained under pressures through a discharge tube 51 and jetted in a fixed amount into the core mold 10 and cavity 20 of molds from spary nozzles 31 and 41 of cooling water tubes 30 and 40 to cool them. A fixed amount of cooling water can thus be jetted under a fixed pressure, and uniform cooling of molds can be attained. |
