PURPOSE:To prepare the titled composition having improved flame retardance, containing reduced amount of flame retardant, having excellent moldability and giving extremely little deterioration of the physical properties, by adding a flame retardant in combination with ferrocene to a resin composition having imide group at the side chain. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin composition composed of (A1) 10-100wt% polymer having imide group at the side chain and obtained by polymerizing an aromatic vinyl monomer and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride in the presence or absence of a rubbery polymer and carrying out the imidation, etc. of the product and (A2) 0-90wt% thermoplastic resin (e.g. ABS and/or alpha-methylstyrene copolymer, etc.) is compounded with (B) 5-40pts., preferably 7-30pts. of a halogen-containing organic compound (e.g. hexabromobenzene), (C) 1-20pts., preferably 2-10pts. of the oxide of antimony and/or zirconium, and (D) 0.1-10pts., preferably 0.2-5pts. of ferrocene. |
