PURPOSE:To enable the registering of the stamping position at a high accuracy in a multicolor stamping machine by turning a rotary head with a plurality of stamping heads slidable intermittently by a specified angle to perform a stamping through a rack mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A freely rotatable rotary head 1 is provided with a plurality of stamping shafts 2 having stamping heads 3 at the tip thereof in such a manner as to be slidable. The rotary motion transmitted to a main shaft 6 is converted into a reciprocating motion of a rack 16 and one way of the motion is drawn as intermittent rotary motion through a first pinion 17 meshed with the rack 16 and a one-way rotation transmitting mechanism 19. This motion is converted into one reciprocating motion each at a time again to drive the stamping shaft 2 while the other way of the motion of the rack 16 is picked up as rotary motion accurately making a turn intermittently through the second pinion 18 and a one- rotation clutch 37. With such an arrangement, the rotary head 1 is rotated intermittently by a specified angle to perform stampings several times in different printing pattern at the same position with the stamping heads 3. |
