PURPOSE:To improve the operability of speech mail registration by monitoring a control signal from a subscriber terminal during the registration of speech mail, and interrupting the registration being carried out in response to the arrival of a specific control signal and restarting the interrupted registration. CONSTITUTION:A circuit which monitors and decides on a registration interruption request signal and a registration restart request signal that a subscriber sends out by using a telephone terminal 1 is provided in a control signal input/ output device 9, and when said request signal is detected, the registration is interrupted or restarted through a mail box controller 5 according to the detection output. For example, when a hooking signal (g)is received during the registration of speech mail, VMS interrupts the registering operation and sends out a service tone (h) to TEL. When the hooking signal (g) is received again while the registration is interrupted, the interrupted registering operation is restarted. |
