Flame glow plug

Flame glow plugs are used for the ignition of low and/or relatively high boiling fuels in heating appliances and as starting aids for engines. The object of the invention is to design the fuel connection appropriately so that the draining off of unavoidable air bubbles is possible and forced feeding of the fuel to the periphery of the vaporisation and ignition area of the flame glow plug is ensured. This is achieved in that a pipe bend is connected to diametrically arranged inlets which end in an annular gap. On the other side the annular gap is connected by duct bores to the ignition chamber. The duct bores terminate on the periphery of the tapered end of the glow rod or of the insulating body. <IMAGE>
