A description is given of chimney-head cladding having retaining and fastening devices (2 to 5) which are arranged on each outer edge of the chimney (1), which engage around the chimney edge, and which are fixed on the edges of the chimney (1) by means of a clamping element (15) engaging around the chimney (1), and having cladding panels (6) attached to the retaining and fastening devices (2 to 5), a ventilating space being provided between the cladding panels (6) and the chimney (1). In the case of said chimney-head cladding, the retaining and fastening devices each exhibit a retaining claw (2), engaging around the chimney edge, an angle bolt (3), an angle rail (4) and a corner cramp (5) which engages in the latter. Each longitudinal side of the cladding panels (6) are connected respectively to an angle rail (4) and a corner cramp (5). The angle rail (4) is fastened on the horizontal leg of the angle bolt (3) and a chimney covering (7) is fastened by means of nuts (10) on the vertical leg, and the clamping element (15) engages around the vertical leg of the angle bolt (3). <IMAGE>
