A pattern tree for the formation of a casting mould producible by the lost-wax method is made up of mould parts which can be assembled as a kit and are composed of wax or plastic which can be melted out, the mould parts consisting of modules which comprise one or more patterns each with an individual sprue and part of the common sprue. These modules can be plugged in and locked via a support seated centrally in the base, which can likewise be melted out, the sprue parts of the individual wax patterns being inserted one above the other and forming the common sprue of the pattern tree. This assembly kit technique leads to considerable savings in the construction of the pattern tree and also in the further stages of the lost-wax process.
