Channel-cleaning roller for removing deposits in liquid-guiding channels and flumes. The aim of the invention is to provide a self-running cleaning unit which is economical in terms of energy and operates with a high degree of efficacy. The object of the invention is to develop a cleaning unit which effectively removes deposits located in the channel without supplying additional energy. According to the invention, the channel-cleaning roller comprises a rotationally symmetrical roller body. Followers are arranged on both sides of the spindle of said roller body and the latter has flow-through gaps, formed by profilings, for directed primary jets.
