In a corner joint for frame- or box-like structures made of sheet metal, inward-bent upright rims (7) of the frame or box side parts (2) are pressed together with a profiled sheet-metal strip (6). In the loose condition, the sheet-metal strip (6) has a W-shaped profile and, in the angles ( alpha ) formed by the limbs (8) of its profile, receives the inward-bent upright rims (7) of the box side parts (2). After the pressing operation, the upright rims (7) and the limbs (8) of the profile are pressed flat one on top of the other in the manner of a sandwich. <IMAGE>
