The invention relates to a four-high stand for the cold rolling of metal strips, with rolls cooled by the spraying on of a cooling/lubricating emulsion and an interception device arranged on the exit side for the emulsion thrown off by the rolls, the interception device having two baffles, which can be set with their inner edges against the edges of an emerging strip, lie in one plane and which encompass the spray region of the rolls next to the edges of the emerging strip. The invention is characterised in that one transverse plate (9, 10) respectively is arranged parallel to the baffles (8, 16), above and below the rolling plane (6), which transverse plates are guided in guides (11) situated next to the rolls (1, 2, 3, 4) and secured on the roll stand (5) and are adjustable towards the rolling plane (6), and in that the transverse plates (9, 10) together with the baffles (8, 16) form a slotted screen (12) which can be adjusted to the thickness and width of the strip (6a) passing through. <IMAGE>
