A sporting appliance in the form of an interchangeable disc and draw-springs. The appliance consists of a series of interchangeable discs of various sizes and various weights. Mountings are provided in the centre of the disc, on both sides, to attach cords which are provided with a handle at each of their ends. When the disc is rotated, the cords twist and, by pulling on the handles the disc is caused to rotate rapidly to left and right, thus causing a strong tensile force on the cords or the handles, which is greater or lesser depending on the weight of the disc used. The appliance can be used by two players. One handle is, however, provided with a suspension device which, suspended on a hook e.g. on the wall, makes it possible for the appliance also to be played by one person. Areas of various colours applied laterally to the disc are harmonised so that a coloured kaleidoscopic image is formed when the disc is rotated, which enables the weight of the disc and the associated degree of difficulty for the player to be recognised even from a distance. Holes in the disc generate a wind noise during its rotation.
