APPARATUS FOR MEASURING PHYSICAL QUANTITY IN TANK

PURPOSE:To measure physical quantity such as temperature at a high accuracy by bedding an anchor having a guide cable in a liquid of a closed tank stably to lift up or down a probe with a signal cable through the guide cable. CONSTITUTION:An operation box 8 is provided on the top of a tank to house first and second lifts I and II. A guide cable 5 wound on a roll 12 of the second lift II is unwound to bed an anchor 1 mounted at the tip thereof on the tank bottom. A signal cable 22 wound on a roll 26 of the first lift II is unwound to lower a probe 20 mounted at the tip thereof along the guide cable 5 and it is detected from the tensions of the cables 5 and 22 that the bedding thereof is done accurately. Then, the length of the probe 20 is detected by the revolutions of the roll 24 and physical quantity such as liquid temperature and density is transmitted from the probe 20 and connected to a detection roll 25 to detect with a detector. Thus, the probe is lifted up or down accurately with the guide cable to assure a stable and highly accurate detection of liquid LNG or the like.
