PURPOSE:To suppress the reduction of throughput and that of printing quality at its minimum by executing printing using all pins when bar code density is less than a prescribed value, and when exceeding the prescribed value, repeating printing using the small number of pins by the prescribed number of times while feeding paper. CONSTITUTION:At the printing of a bar code in accordance with the specification of a computer. a printer control circuit CNT finds out the horizontal bar code density of the bar code to be printed out, and when the found out bar code dot density is less than the prescribed value and the number of vertical dots left as unprinted state is larger than the number of all pins of a printing head, prints out the bar code by all the pins. If the bar code density is larger than the prescribed value and the number of left dots is larger than (a), bar code printing is executed by using the (a) pins of the printing heads. |
