PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material which has good color formability, is improved in the color reproducibility and preservability of an image and maintains particularly the initial color balance without fluctuation even in a dark place and under exposure to light for a long period of time by incorporating the couplers expressed by formulas I -IV into photosensitive layers having color sensitivities different from each other. CONSTITUTION:The couplers expressed by formulas I, II or III and formula IVare incorporated into the photosensitive layers having the color sensitivities different from each other with a silver halide color photosensitive material having the photosensitive layers sensitive to red, green and blue on a base. The couplers expressed by formulas I, II or III, IV are incorporated usually at 0.1-1.0mol, more preferably 0.1-0.5mol in each 1mol silver halide into the silver halide emulsion layers constituting the photosensitive layers. The quantity ratios among the couplers expressed by formulas I, II or III, IV are usually in an about 1: (0.2-1.5):(0.5-1.5) molar ratio range in many cases and the design of the photosensitive material is also possible even at the ratios except said range. The well- known techniques are applicable to add the couplers to the photosensitive layers.
