An induction coil having a variable centre tap, especially for an antenna matching apparatus in radio systems for matching the transmitting and receiving antennas to different frequencies. The induction coil preferably consists of an electrical conductor which is wound in a helical shape onto an insulating body. A contact wiper element is provided which is in electrical contact with the induction coil, is movable in the longitudinal direction of the induction coil and has an electrically conductive connection to the connecting contact element for the centre tap. The contact wiper element has a plurality of contact tongues which surround the induction coil in the form of a ring. The contact tongues are electrically conductively connected to a guide element which is arranged displaceably on a guide rail which is used as the connecting contact element for the centre tap.
