The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for determining dissolved substances, in particular for detection in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The invention is based on a constant-current electric voltage measurement which can be carried out cost-effectively (ohmmeter principle). As a result, rapid as well as sensitive detection of any dissolved compounds, especially organic compounds, is possible.
