PURPOSE:To use a circuit which has high efficiency all the time by transferring long packets through a long-packet circuit and also transferring even short packets unless a long packet waits to be sent, and transferring only short packets through a short-packet circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a packet arrives at a changeover switch part SW1, the changeover switch part SW1 discriminates whether the arrival packet is a long packet or short packet and switches itself to a signal input terminal I1 for the long packet and to a signal input terminal I2 for the short packet. The long packet inputted to the signal input terminal I1 is connected behind the final packet in a queue when there is the queue at a circuit transmission queue part Q1 or outputted to the long-packet circuit L from a signal output terminal O1 when not. The short packet inputted to the signal input terminal I4 is connected behind the final packet in a queue if there is the queue at a circuit transmission queue part Q2, or outputted to the short-packet circuit S from a signal output terminal O2 when not. |
