PURPOSE:To detect the line width of any graphic by setting up a circular template on a core line dot extracted from a binary raster data and finding out the line width from the distance between two points where the edges of a linear graphic are intersected with the circumference. CONSTITUTION:A core line dot is found out on the basis of binary raster data outputted from a binary raster data storage device 10 by the processing of a core line extracting device 20. A circular template generator 21 outputs the circular template having a previously set up radius (r) around the core line dot. Namely, the coordinates of the core line dot are inputted to the circular template with the radius (r). A line width calculation processor 22 finds out the coordinates of two points where the edges of the linear graphic are intersected on the template on the basis of ''0'' and ''1'' pattern of the circular template to find out the length of the segment between the two points. The obtained segment length is stored in a core line dot string storage device 13. |
