PURPOSE:To easily supplement a developer by holding a spare bottle which contains a developer to be supplemented to another developing means in the space where a developing means which is not used is set. CONSTITUTION:A developing device 10 is divided into two, i.e. the 1st and the 2nd developing units 52 and 53 as developing means including the 1st and the 2nd developing rollers 50 and 51. The 1st developing unit 52 containing a color developer 56a is a cartridge type attachable to and detachable from a main device frame 1 and easily detached by being lifted while a grip 155 is raised. When the 1st developing unit 52 for color development is not used for a long period, the spare bottle 165 containing the developer 56'a to be used by the 2nd developing unit 53 is set at the attachment part of the 1st developing unit 52 by a holding structure similar to the 1st developing unit 52, and unlocked and lifted through a grip 155 when necessary to easily supplement the developer 65'a to the 2nd developing unit 53. |
