PURPOSE:To rationalize the whole system and to simplify the constitution of an interchangeable lens which has a stop device, but is not provided with a manual operation member for aperture setting, and a transmission means which transmits a stop-down quantity to the stop device. CONSTITUTION:When the lens is mounted, the stop-down pin 9 of the lens side abuts on a part 15a of a stop-down control part 15 and a stop aperture is therefore determined according to the position of this member 15. The stop-down control member 15 is energized by a spring as shown by an arrow X, but locked as shown in a figure except during exposure control operation, so the stop is set to an open aperture. Once the exposure control operation is started, The stop-down control member is unlocked and begins to move as shown by the arrow X and the stop-down pin 9 follows it up and moves as shown by an arrow Z to stop- down the lens. Then when the control member 15 moves by an expected number of stop-down stages, the stop-down control member 15 is locked and the stop- down pin 9 which moves following it up is also locked, thus determining a stop aperture.
