In a device for removing lorry wheels where the wheel rim is fitted on the wheel hub and which consists of the cross-member which can be supported on the wheel hub and is to be arranged directed diametrically with respect to the wheel and has two hooks which are each arranged at the end side of the cross member and can each be hooked into a hole of the wheel rim, and of a rod-shaped actuation element which is rotatably mounted in the centre of the cross-member and directed at right angles thereto, on which actuation element torques can be exerted in order to remove a wheel, in order to improve said device both with respect to operational reliability and also handling and, at the same time, also to simplify the production means, a. the hooks (6) are attached on the wheel side of the cross-member (2) in each case to the free end of a cable (5) and b. the cables (5) are deflected, on the cross-member side facing away from the wheel side of the cross-member (2), directed towards one another about the end parts of the cross-member (2) and towards the actuation element (3) and are rotatably attached with their other end parts to the actuation element (3) in such a way that the cables (5) can be wound onto the actuation element (3) in the same direction of rotation as one another. <IMAGE>
