PURPOSE:To obtain the titled image with high density at high speed while enhancing thermal conductivity, by a method wherein a thermal transfer ink applied to an image-receiving sheet is heated directly by a thermal head, thereby transferring. CONSTITUTION:One 3 of thermal transfer inks of three or four primary colors of yellow, magenta, cyan and optionally black is applied to the image-receiving sheet 1, then the sheet 1 is passed on the thermal head 6, and the ink 3 is heated directly by the head 6, thereby transferring the ink 3 to the sheet 1. Then, the untransferred ink on the sheet 1 is removed by an ink-removing sheet 9 or the like to provide a monochromatic image. Further, the above transferring process is repeated sequentially for each of the thermal transfer inks of the three of four primary colors to obtain the objective image. |
