PURPOSE:To continuously process plate materials of various sizes by operating sideward shifting guides from both sides of a processed plate material stopped by a stopper to correct the material in a designated condition. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a glass plate 16 is transported in an inclined state (Fig. A), though the glass plate 16 is brought into contact with a stopper 58 and stopped at a designated speed not to impose load thereon, as the glass plate is not brought into contact with a stopper 56, conveyers 50, 52 continue to move. When the glass plate is put into the parallel state as shown in Fig. B, the glass plate 16 is brought into contact with the stopper 56, and stopped by the stoppers 56, 58. At this time, it is ckecked by sensors 60 and 62 that the glass plate 16 is stopped in parallel, and a conveyer control portion stops the conveyer belts 50, 52. As shown in Fig. C, sideward shifting guides 64, 66 are shifted sideward to center the glass plate 16. Thus, material of various sizes can be centered to facilitate the operation of the next process. |
