PURPOSE:To provide an ink ribbon cassette such that the same ribbon can be struck two times through reversion thereof and the entire surface of the ribbon can be effectively used, wherein a payout core and a take-up core around which both ends of an ink ribbon are wound respectively are provided with coupling means which can be coupled to a take-up shaft provided on the upper surface of a carriage. CONSTITUTION:The payout core 12 and the take-up core 13 for the ink ribbon (a) are rotatably supported on shafts between the upper and lower face plates 10a, 10b of the ink ribbon cassette 10, and a shaft end 12a of the core 12 and a shaft end 13a of the core 13 are provided respectively with the coupling means 14, 15 which can be coupled to the take-up shaft 23 projected on the carriage 21. Accordingly, when the cassette 10 is reversed upside down, the payout core 12 can be utilized directly as a take-up core. |
