PURPOSE:To stamp indices constituting marks by a printer during printing, by providing an index-stemping mechanism for stamping indices for sectioning the printed contents at positions conforming perforations, in conjunction with a printing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:During a printing step of the printing mechanism 3, the index- stamping mechanism 4 is transversely displaced to a stamping position, and when a perforation passes by, a stamping head 6 presses a ribbon 7 against a paper 1, thereby stamping. Accordingly, the indices 10 can be provided on the back of the paper 1, and the starting page and the finishing page of each section of the printed contents can be known simultaneously with the completion of printing. |
