PURPOSE:To dehydrate easily sludge at a high rate by adding an org. fiber material having increased bulk specific density and high polymer flocculating agent to the sludge to flocculate the sludge and dehydrating the flocculated sludge. CONSTITUTION:The org. fiber material which is wetted with water to increase the bulk specific density to >=0.3g/cm<3> density and the high polymer flocculating agent are added to the sludge. The resulted flocs are adjusted to <=1mm. diameter and are then dehydrated by a pressure dehydrator or centrifugal dehydrator. The sludge is thus dehydrated at a high rate with the simple installation.
