<p>PURPOSE:To control a strip tension with high accuracy by deriving a mutual relation between the strip tension, a looper angle and looper shaft torque, and setting an angle at which the looper shaft torque becomes a value close to the output limit of a motor, as a looper reference angle. CONSTITUTION:When controlling the tension of a hot strip 8 using a looper 1, a mutual relation between a strip tension Tc and a looper angle beta is inputted in advance as a function to a strip tension-looper height function generator 22. Also, the same value as a set tension inputted to a loop angle compressor 4 is inputted to this generator, the looper angle beta corresponding to its value is calculated, and its calculated value is inputted to a looper height controller 11. Accordingly, when said function is determined so that the looper angle beta to the strip tension Tc becomes angle of the output limit of a looper motor 6, the tension of the strip 8 can be controlled with high accuracy.</p> |
