PURPOSE:To evaporate the solvent of coated paint and to make the thickness of a coated film uniform by arranging a fan on the side wall, etc. of a booth arranged between a painting booth and a drying booth, and generating an air current in said booth. CONSTITUTION:A booth 11 whose inlet is connected to a painting booth 13 and whose outlet is connected to a drying booth 14 is provided to partially cover a conveyor 12, and fans 16 and 18 are arranged either on the side wall 15 or on the top wall 17 to generate an air current in the booth 11 and to generate an air current at the inside and the outside of the booth in a continuous painting line. Namely, the solvent contained in the coated paint is positively evaporated by the air current when the material coated with paint passes through the booth 11, and the flowing of paint by its own weight, or the dripping of paint which tends to flow downward is controlled to make the thickness of the coated film uniform.
