PURPOSE:To obtain the titled magnet showing necessary iHc and saving Sm at a reduced cost by providing a composition consisting of misch metal composed of light rare earth elements, Co-base transition metals and a group IIIb element such as B, Al, Ga or In represented by a specified formula. CONSTITUTION:This 2-17 type rare earth element-Co magnet has a composition represented by a formula MM(TM1-xAx)z (where MM is misch metal composed of light rare earth elements, TM is Co-base transition metals, A is one or more among B, Al, Ga and In, Z is the atomic ratio of TM+A to the rare earth elements, and x<=0.15). The rare earth element-Co magnet having practical iHc and saving Sm is obtd. at a reduced cost by adding said group IIIb elements. |
