PURPOSE:To obtain a permanent magnet having a high degree of orientation of magnetic anisotropy by a method wherein a resin binder filled with solid lubricant powder, magnet powder and a coupling agent is melted and kneaded and then is excluded by using a die with a magnetic field impressed thereon, and cured. CONSTITUTION:An alloy having a composition of Sm(Co0.672Cu0.08Fe0.22Zr0.028)8.3 is melted in a low-frequency melting furnace, and an alloy ingot thus obtained is subjected to a solution treatment for 4hr at the temperature of 1,170 deg.C and then to an isothermal aging process within a range 800-200 deg.C and a cooling aging process. Next, the ingot thus processed is pulverized into fine powder of 10- 50mum, and the surface thereof is treated with a titanate coupling agent. Then, the magnet powder of 60% thus obtained, fine powder (CF)n, BN or MoS2 of 8% and polyamide resin powder of 32%, each expressed by a volume ratio, are mixed together. Thereafter the mixture is put in a cylinder 1 provided with a heater 2 and a screw 4, and a melted material 3 thus formed is made to pass through a ferromagnetic die 5 and then through a cooling die 7 provided with a cooling pipe 6, so as to form a magnet 8. |
