<p>"STOP VALVE ALARM FOR SPRINKLER SYSTEMS" An alarm system for the stop valve of a fire sprinkler system to provide an alarm whenever the stop valve is at least partly closed, wherein an externally threaded adaptor is connected between the handwheel and the valve spindle and mounts a housing including a threaded follower engaged with threaded portion to move along the housing and activate a cable, an hydraulic diaphragm valve assembly connected with the water mains line and the hydraulic alarm line of the sprinkler system and operated by said cable, whereby an alarm is provided by said hydraulic valve assembly whenever said stop valve has been closed to a predetermined degree.</p> |
