MECHANISM FOR PROHIBITING MOVEMENT OF MOVING BODY

PURPOSE:To prevent a moving body such as an original base of a copying device from moving while the upper machine body is held obliquely open by acting a detaining device provided between said moving body and a device body on a driving device for the moving body. CONSTITUTION:A ratchet wheel 30 is provided to a wire drum which moves back and forth the original base of the copying device. A shaft 31 is provided to a side plate 9 of an oscillation support 3 an a detaining member 32 is provided to the shaft 31. A detent pawl 33 engaging with the tooth part 30a of the wheel 30 is provided to one end of the member 32 and the turning habit in the direction where the pawl 33 is meshed with the wheel 30 around the shaft 31 is given to the member 32 by the elastic effect of the spring 34. The member 31 turns left while the other arm part 32a is pressed to a detaining pin 35 by the elastic force of the spring 34 when the support 3 is turned in the openig direction. The pawl 33 is then meshed with the tooth part 30a of the wheel 30.
