PURPOSE:To increase durability and shelf stability of a recording paper with which a recorded image is obtained through developing colorless or light colored leuco dyes with a developer by containing a special chemical compound as an image stabilizing agent in a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of chemical coompounds selected from the groups of chemical compounds as expressed in general formula I, pyromellic acid anhydride and tetracyanoetylene is contained in a recording paper as an image stabilizing agent [in the formula Y1-Y4 are same or different, and hydrogen atom, -SO3R, -OCOR, -COOR, -COR, -OR, -R, -COOM1/p (M indicates alkali metal atom, alkali earth metal atom, Fe, Ni, Co, Al, Zn, Sn, Pb, or Cu, and p indicates valence.), COONH4, -CN, -NO2, -NO, halogen atom or CONH2 are indicated by the Y1-Y4. However, the above does not mean that all of y1-y4 are hydrogen atoms. R indicates lower alkyl group, -CH2X, or -CHX2, or -CX3 (X indicates respective halogen atoms). And, Z indicates -SO2-, -SO-, -S-, -C=O- or lower alkylene groups of straight or divided chains]. The recording paper of subject invention is manufactured by the usual method with an exception of containing an image stabilizing agent in a recording layer. The prepara tion of the recording paper of subject invention is carried out by using dyes, developers, image stabilizers and binders, if necessary, and etc., and these are mixed to make a coating liquid (at least dyes and developers are, however, separately prepared and mixed when used.), and then, the liquid is applied to a substrate or impregnated in and dried afterwards. |
