PURPOSE:To prevent an excessive speed change shock and slippage of a friction element by adjusting line pressure according to fuel to be used. CONSTITUTION:In the case where ordinary octane number fuel is used for an engine 10, fuel is detected by a knocking sensor 12, and an ignition time control device 14 gives a signal for lessening lead angle of the ignition time to an ignition device 16. Used fuel discrimination means 18 is adapted to discriminate that the lead angle of ignition time designated by the signal from the ignition time control device 14 is smaller than a specified value, and turn off a solenoid 20. At this time, an opening 28 is opened to drain oil pressure in an oil path 26, and line pressure in an oil path 22 is regulated to a low value by a regulator valve 30. On the contrary, in case of high octane number fuel, the solenoid 20 is turned off, and the line pressure is regulated to a high value. |
