PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by directly driving a bearing body with respect to a race base of a linear motion bearing, thereby simplifying the entire structure. CONSTITUTION:A recess 1' is formed at the center of a U-shaped bearing body 1, a groove 2' is formed on a race base 2 of the shape bestriding the recess to form a magnetic shield 5. A coil assembly 6 of a linear motor is secured to the inside of the shield 5, and electric power is supplied through rails 7-9 thereto. The magnet 13 of the motor is mounted to be suspended from the center of the body 1 at the position opposed to the assembly 6. When the position control of the body 1 is controlled in a closed loop, the position is detected by photoelectric systems 14, 15, and fed back. |
