PURPOSE:To apply stable electric charge to a toner and to obtain an image having stable image quality by allowing a resin and electric charge control agent having reversed electrifying characteristics to exist mixedly within the same toner. CONSTITUTION:The insulating toner 5 in a hopper 3 is coated on a toner carrier body 2 by a coating means 4 for coating the toner while controlling the thickness of the toner layer, by which the electrostatic latent image formed on an electrostatic image holding body 1. The space between the body 1 and the body 2 is set at the thickness of the toner layer coated on the body 2 or above. The toner 5 contains the binder resin and charge control agent having reversed electrifying characteristics and the satd. magnetization thereof at 5,000 oersted external magnetic field has <=10emu/g value. |
