PURPOSE:To prevent inversion of orifice by providing a backup ring having an opening of smaller diameter than the average of the inner and outer diameters of orifice at the primary of a flexible orifice. CONSTITUTION:A rubber orifice 16 will bend to the flow-out port side with correspondence to the pressure variation at the flow-in port side thus to flow proper setting amount of fluid. If the difference between the fluid pressure at the flow- in port and the flow-out port is high, the rubber orifice 16 is returned together with the fluid to the flow-in port side through water hummer phenomena. But a backup ring 17 having an opening of smaller diameter than the average of the inner and outer diameters of the orifice 16 will prevent inversion of the rubber orifice 16 thus to prevent variation of setting flow reliably. |
