PURPOSE:To prevent staining of a photosensitive body and wasteful comsumption of a developer by changing and controlling the irradiating region of an irradiating means for irradiating light according to a copying magnification. CONSTITUTION:An original placed on glass 14 of an original base is irradiated by an illuminating lamp 16 integral with a scanning mirror 15 when a drum 11 is rotated to the home position thereof. The light reflected thereof is scanned by scanning mirrors 15, 17. The reflected light image is imaged on the drum 11 in an exposing part 21 via a lens 18, a mirror 19 and a mirror 20. The drum 11 is thereafter destaticized by a destaticizer 23 and an electrostatic latent image is formed thereon by the full-surface exposure of a full-surface exposing lamp 24. The image is visualized as a toner image by a developing device 25. The toner image on the drum 11 is transferred onto transfer paper by a transfer electrifier 31 in succession thereto. The exposing region by the lamp 24 is changed and controlled according to the copying magnification. |
