PURPOSE:To increase the effective surface area of a cover and to delay the period when the quantity of light decreases as a result of staining by covering a transparent cylindrical body onto a xenon lamp and reflection mirror of a fixing device for an electrophotographic printer and constituting rotatably the cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:The transparent cylindrical body 15 is covered on the xenon lamp 13 and reflection mirror 16 of the fixing device which fixes the toner image 11 on paper 10 by flash exposure using the exnon lamp. The body 15 is installed rotatably and the body 15 is rotated and a low speed. The front surface of the lamp 13 is therefore protected by the peripheral surface of the body 15 while said body is rotated and the entire peripheral surface of the body 15 is utilized as a cover for the lamp, by which the effective surface area of the cover is increased. |
