PURPOSE:To improve the adhesive property of a diazo photosensitive layer to a support and to increase the surface strength by forming a precoated layer contg. a graft polymer obtd. by polymerizing one or more kinds of polymerizable monomers on the support and by forming the photosensitive layer on the precoated layer. CONSTITUTION:The graft polymer obtd. by polymerizing one or more kinds of polymerizable monomers in the presence of a polymer obtd. by bringing a cellulose deriv. and cyclic ester into a ring opening reaction is dissolved in an org. solvent such as ketone or acetic ester to prepare a coating soln. for a precoated layer. This soln. is applied to the support of polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene, polycarbonate or the like by about 1-3g/m<2>, and is dried to form the precoated layer. A diazo type copying material is manufactured by forming a two-component type photosensitive layer consisting of a diazo compound and a coupler on the precoated layer. |
