PURPOSE:To maintain the input/output load condition of an electronic computer at the most suitable level, by monitoring control words or data inputted and outputted through each input/output channel and calculating the data input/output frequency per a unit time, and then, feeding back the calculated results. CONSTITUTION:Channels connecting input/output devices 2a-2f with an electronic computer 1 are connected with a channel monitoring device 3 by means of each monitor line 4a-4f. The channel monitoring device 3 makes control so as to maintain input/output signals of corresponding input/output channels under an appropriate condition by inputting control words passing through each channel, calculating the input/output frequency of each channel, and feeding back the calculated results to each input/output device 2a-2f through feedback lines 5a-5f. Moreover, the input/output frequency is also outputted to a display device 6 or printing device 7. Since the input/output frequency is calculated and control is performed outside the electronic computer in such a way, no extra loads is put on the electronic computer 1. Therefore, the load of the computer 1 can be maintained at an appropriate level. |
